At present large LED screens of size 6*3 m and greater are used for production of large images observed many people. There are hundreds of thousands LEDs in the screens and they are stationary expensive devices. Up-to-date technical possibilities enable to develop and fabricate cheap mobile screens of large size for which no additional effort is required to locate the screen in any place. For example, such screens can be located at a tribune of stadium and can be used for production of image which size is equal to that of whole tribune.
The method of production of images is known at which each spectator is provided by black and white sheets. The spectator shows himself as one pixel. He lifts on a command assigned for him sheet and the whole image is formed in which number of pixels coincides with the number of a spectators taken part in show. Such method has been used at Olympiad 80 in Moscow.
Up-to date technical possibilities enable to improve significantly this method and to provide each spectator a plane board consisting of several hundreds LEDs and a microprocessor for control of turning on and turning off each LED. For example, such board can be fabricated in a form of chess board where RGB led is located in each white and black square and the space used for storage of figures can be used for storage power suppliers and electronics. Such improvement enables to expand possibilities for production of images in several directions.
1. Each spectator can show himself as several pixels. This entails an increase of resolution.
2. Production of color and dynamic images is possible.
3. A spectator is free from problems connected with change his pixels because they are changed automatically.
Proposed method can be used at the parade of participants of Olympiad 2007 in Beijing when the participants pass before tribunes. Each participant can lift above his head the similar board and all spectators on the stadium can see the image planned in advance. The parade is translated to the whole world and hundreds of millions TV spectators can see new for them means for production of images.
The product can be interested by fanatics supporting their team in various kinds of sport as well as by advertisement agency which can use it as a cost free TV advertisement in TV translation of sport meets. TV spectators can see at their TV receivers an image of logotypes, trade signs etc. Besides, the product can be used as a slogan or headers at meetings and demonstrations. It enables to respond on speeches of orators and changing situation.
